There was a time, not all that long ago, when you probably had a handmade doll from grandma on top of the dresser in your bedroom, or snuggled right beside you each night in bed. It might have been a cute little sock monkey, a beloved Raggedy Ann or Andy (with the book to match), or a plain little doll without any distinguishing features. Chances are you loved that doll even more because it was especially made for you by someone who especially cared for you – cared enough to spend hours putting that doll together with their own two hands and one huge heart.
