Cosplay: Ichigo from the anime bleach?

I want to cosplay Ichigo and any ideas are greatly appreciated(sp).

Right now I would like input on how wide of an obi sash to wear, and possibly how long, my waist size is 36.

Also if you have any good places to find kimono/keikogi sewing patterns.

Also I need Straw Sandals and Tabi Socks
and would rather make them, unless they are REALLY cheap. (I've seen the socks for 10-14, but if I could just take some tube socks I already have and sew em up a bit. Just wondering if anybody has tried it before I ruin some socks.)

I would make the sash about 3 1/2 inches wide since it'll probably bunch a little when you wear it and umm... let' say twice your waist size long so you can get a good bow.

The sandels... you'll need to buy then alter since you'll want to have a decent sole on them.

For the socks, you could easily alter some by cutting more or less a triangle, with the fat end facing the outside, inbetween the 1st and 2nd toe, then sew it up. Just make sure you don't cut in too far or your toes won't fit well!
