How do I lighten up the pressure from my presser foot on my sewing machine
?
Yesterday I asked a question about bunching on my knits, and alot of people suggested I lighten the pressure from mu pressure foot. I looked last night through the directions on my sewing machine
, it a very inexpencive BROTHER from Walmart, and I couldn't find out how to do this. Do all machines have a way to do this? if so can someone tell me how.

I agree with drip. Don't mess with the components of the machine that are not intended for the user to access.
Areas of the machine that the user can access will be explained in the instruction manual.
Buy a walking foot. A generic should work on your machine - open the package carefully, just in case it does not. Walmart may have this, but I do know for sure that JoAnn Fabric does.
The walking foot is also known as an even feet foot.
This foot acts like the feed dogs on the machine and helps keep the top layer of fabric from shifting.
When you attach the foot to the machine, be sure the lever on the right side of the WF sits atop the bar for holding the needle in place.
I use my walking foot more than any other presser foot.
