has anyone else had trouble with velcro and sewing machine?
I got a brother sewing machine brother (project runway LE sewing machine) and i cannot get it to sew velcro on. It has all kinds of trouble. I have fiddled with the tention and width nothing seems to work. I have an old singer the sews the velcro great but only has one 2 stitch types.
Make sure you are using a "sharp" needle and not a ball point needle. Also make sure the "sharp" needle is sharp (ha ha play on words).
Try using something to sturdy up the fabric. On the back of the fabric (not the back of the velcro) place some sturdy pellon and just sew right through it. It will tear away easily when you are done.
