I just got a new sewing machine and I was wondering what supplies I need to go along with it.?
I got a kenmore machine, I have the thread but I think I need other supplies because it isn't working. Please let me you know.
Is this a new machine? If so, it came with
-- needles
-- a couple of spare bobbins
-- some basic feet, usually multipurpose, zipper and some other feet
-- a lint brush
-- a screwdriver
-- sewing machine oil (if the machine requires oil)
and some various and sundry other stuff useful for sewing but not machine care.
And most importantly, it comes with a manual, which should have some good step by step information on setting up the sewing machine properly, including threading, winding a bobbin and getting the bobbin installed and stitches forming.
Most machine "it doesn't work" problems from beginners are actually misthreading or operation issues.
At the moment, we really don't have the information we need to help you -- but I doubt buying more stuff will remedy the problem.
Can you describe what's going on better? Or provide photos?
