I would like to know how to make a fleece scarf? The kind that looks as if it has loops!?
I have made the type of scarf where you layer the fleece, sew down the center and then cut the strips. However, I have seen some really cute scarves where it looks as if the fleece is looped. Any ideas?
Snow-a-Boa Fleece Scarf
Materials
Two fleece cuts measuring 1/3 yard
Masking tape
Sewing machine and thread to match
Instructions:
Cut each fleece piece in half lengthwise. You will have four 6" x 60" strips. Cut off selvages.
Layer them, alternating colors.
Stitch a narrow zigzag stitch down the center.
Place a strip of masking tape down the center, covering the stitch line. Cut fringe at 1-inch intervals, using the making tape as a guide so you don't cut through the seam and all fringes are the same length.
