I need some craft ideas for already embroidered wall hangings (vintage)?
Hi there! So I've come across some really cool, vintage wall hangings that are already embroidered. They're very 60s and 70s looking and I really want to do something with them besides hang them on the wall. They're fairly long, too long to sew onto a shirt for example.
This is not exactly what I have, but here's an example of what they roughly look like. They're about 20" long and 12" wide.

Does anyone else have any ideas for what sorts of crafts I could do with them? I would love to make something and then potentially sell them.
they Can actually be sewn on to a garment called kurta or kurti which can be worn over jeans or pants. here's a link where you can find many images. you can have the embroidered portion along the front, or towards one side.

- what about skirts?
- how about making table/place mats. you will, however, need to get them protected using some sort of lamination.
- or make a table runner - join a couple if required.
- or have a kind of runner [whatever it's called] for window curtains or as a border for the curtains
- as part of the upholstery - a drape for the back or the arms of sofa.
- sewn into a lamp-shade
- a purse or bag. a draw-string purse would look kinda vintage :-))
