Well, here is October already again, and you are probably racking your brain trying to come up with ideas for your dog's Halloween costume. There are lots of choices out there, and this can be a lot of fun for both you and your pet, providing you are careful about choosing the safest, most perfect costume for your little canine friend. Find a hat with your favorite team's logo, either from a pet store, or from your local children's department at your favorite discount store, and your team dog is all ready for the big night!
Those of you who would rather create your dog's special Halloween costume will love this idea; your dog can be super-dog! Go to your favorite discount store, and look through the clothing in the baby section, keeping the size of your dog in mind. Find a superman shirt and purchase some matching material to use as a cape. This is a great Halloween costume for dogs whose owners may be working on a tight budget, as so many of us are nowadays. You probably can create the entire costume for less than $15. 00!
Speaking of Halloween costumes for your dog that are budget-friendly, another classic idea is Dracula. This is a great one for those who are crafty, because all you really need to do is purchase some fabric, spend maybe 20 minutes in your sewing room, and you have a cute, budget-friendly costume for your dog. You want to purchase some sort of shiny black fabric for the cape of course, a small amount of white fabric for a collar, red would also work, and some sort of trim for the cape, in an alternate color, such as purple or red. Attach the collar to the top of the cape, add the trim to the inside of the cape, and then use Velcro or safety pins to fashion the finished piece around your dog, and you and your friend are all set for a fun night of trick-or-treating!
