I signed up to go to a college reunion dating back to '76,tomorrow is the day and now I don't want to go, HELP
Feel that I should go 'cos I said I was so excited ata meeting up with old friends, now the day is upon me I would rather go to my sewing workshop/class. Feel pathetic, but now feel it's too much like going back into the past and really don't want to go there, now that I think about it . Also there is a girls Textile/sewing workshop on tomorrow which in truth I would much rather go to.
My dilema is that I have said to the organiser 'what a good idea / how fantastic it is of her to organise it and YES I DEFINITELY want an invite'........now on reflection I can't think of anything worse. Can anyone tell me what I should do. I am desperate for other's opinions. My family think I should go because I said I would and because I paid £10 for the buffet meal.Oh hek I really am in a s****** situation, blow the £10 (and I'm not rolling in it) but money apart I really don't want to go. Should I or shouldn't I????
Go to your reunion. What the hell is so bad about your past that you don't want to see anyone you grew up with? I never quite understand that way of thinking. As someone who is always shoved on the board to organize these reunions that everybody is so eager and thrilled about, I hate to tell you how disappointing it is to find yourself at the end of the night with a long list of cop-outs who didn't have enough decency or the guts to show up. Good god. Your sewing class will be there next week. Your reunion won't. FYI - You have NO IDEA what you are missing if you don't go. Ours are always so much fun, no one ever wants to leave.
Be an adult and honor your verbal obligation. They are expecting you. It's only one night out of your entire life.
Sheesh.
