What is this Kenmore / Greist sewing machine attachment?
My wife and I are selling an old sewing machine that came with the below-pictured attachment but can't identify what it is. We don't think it is a button-holer. It may be a "zig-zag" attachment but we're not sure - please help!
Bonus: is this thing worth any money? If so, how much?

It was found with a Kenmore Model 120 Sewing Machine.
The pictured object is indeed a zig-zag attachment with additional cams for different patterns. As a general rule, these are attached to straight-stitch machines which cannot otherwise do the zig-zag stitch. I do not recommend the use of this type of device as it can damage your machine because it moves the fabric side-to-side to give a look of the zig-zag stitch, and this can cause the needle to deflect into the needle-plate or even the hook/bobbin-case assembly. As to the value of this part, probably around $20.00
