Precise automated sewing?

Hello,
i need to do some sewing. i've got a cotton tape, 1/2 inch wide, 10 inches long. i need to take another such tape and sew them together, one over another. between the tapes, i must put a small, round, metal pins, also 1/2 inch long. imagine a ladder, but with no room for feet. the pins must not be able to move. because what i've written may not make any sense, i've attached a beautiful, colorful drawing to make it easier for You to picture it :) the green dashed lines show where i must do the sewing to immobilize the pins. my problem is, the sewing must be done with pins already in place. and the machine is unable to saw so close to the pins, and as a result they move up and down. is there any way to sew closer to them or fix it? thanks

A zipper foot will enable you to sew very close to anything. Sometimes I baste a project first when I feel it will help me to sew it more easily. It all depends on the project.

Janome ThreadBanger TB30 Stitch Patterns
There are 30 built in stitches including all the necessary utility stitches, a nice selection of satin and decorative stitches, and six styles of 1-step buttonholes. Stitch length is adjustable to 5mm and width is adjustable to 7mm. There's also a unique stitch elongation feature which lets you elongate the satin stitches to 5 times their normal size without losing any of the thread density or appearance.

Janome ThreadBanger TB30 Presser Feet
While you can sew just fine with a general purpose presser feet, having additional presser feet makes sewing easier as they act like guides for more complicated stitch work. The six snap-on style presser feet that come with this sewing machine are great for garment construction and craft sewing: Zigzag Foot (also called a General Purpose foot), Overcast foot, Satin Stitch foot, Automatic Buttonhole foot, Overedge foot, and a Blind Hem foot.

The presser foot lever has three height settings, the normal down, up and then an extra high up so thick fabrics can be slipped under the needle more easily. In addition, presser foot pressure is adjustable - a plus for handling different fabric widths from sheers to layers of denim or quilting.

A leveler button on the General Purpose foot acts like a ramp to help the presser foot get up and over extra-thick seams.

Sewing machines today have so many great automated features that let you focus on sewing instead of machine set up and this machine is no exception.

There is a Start/Stop button so you can sew with out using the foot pedal. The bobbin winder is automatic and stops as soon as the bobbin is full. A reverse stitch button is conveniently located for quick tie off of your stitches.

A drop feed dog lever located behind the extension arm to do some pretty neat free motion quilting and embroidery.

In addition, the Janome ThreadBanger TB30 has an automatic needle threader, a Needle Up/Down button, a speed control slider, an auto-lock button and a a stitch elongation button which can increase the available satin stitches to up to five times their size without losing any thread density.

The needle is adjustable to three positions, thread delivery is horizontal (meaning the spool pin for top thread is horizontal for smoother thread delivery), and there's a bright LED screen that displays stitch selection and setting information.

Besides a soft cover to protect the sewing machine from dust, this sewing machine comes with a 5 pack of needles, 4 bobbins, a screwdriver, a quilting guide, seam ripper, lint brush, and two spool caps.

The instruction manual is easy to follow and provides tips for using the machine to its maximum potential. Besides that, the Janome ThreadBanger TB30 is super easy to use and downright fun to play with.
