What do you use to pinch the middle of material to make a fabric flower and hold it in place?
Imagine about 8 small, flat pieces of flower shaped material piled on top of each other. Then, pinch the back in the middle with your fingers so it looks like a real flower. What can I use to secure it like that? Or where would I sew?
While holding your fabric pieces by the pinched section, you wind a piece of thread tightly around the pinch a number of times until it feels secure enough (probably about 10 times around), just high up enough to arrange your fabric into nice petals. Then you sew the end of the thread through the fabric in at least two directions (criss crossing) at any point near or through the wrapped thread and knot it to secure both the fabric pieces together and the thread.
