elastic band sewing
If I cut a tutu with an elastic band on the seam for a day, can i sew it back to its original state?
I'm borrowing my friend's tutu. But I have one problem.. It doesn't fit.
It's one of those tiny kid tutus from Claire's.
It already has an elastic waist band, so if I cut it on the seam,
I believe it will be a little bigger. At least big enough for me to actually get it on.
But I want to know if I'll be able to sew it back after wards. I don't plan on sewing the skirt when I wear it, just cutting it.
So, can I cut the waist band on the seam, wear it, and sew it back in its place after without any damage?
Or is this impossible?
Is it safe for me to cut on the seam ?
Go to the dry cleaners they will put it back together perfectly it's like a magical place.
