Antique sewing machine found..McCall's promo?
Serious answers only please. I have found in the attic of our home and McCall's brand 1940's model electric sewing machine made by singer as a promo item for McCall's. I can find no info at all on this particular machine. Can anyone tell me what it is worth and some background on it? The cord is good, the presser foot is there, the forward and reverse knob is there. The foot pedal is gone. It is cast iron and weighs about 20 lbs. Thanks
Very little, unless you find a collector of McCall's memorabilia. You can probably get a new pedal for it for a fairly nominal amount, if you want to get it working again -- Singers of that era were pretty tough beasts.
