Help on sewing and measuring?
Ok, I am a TOTAL beginner (Besides home economics at school, where we learned the basics.), and I know it is a VERY BAD IDEA to just JUMP right into a huge project, but it seems really fun, and I really wanna try. Plus, I'll be using it quite a lot, so it'll come in handy~ :P

I know how to do the ruffles, how to layer, how to sew, stitch, use a sewing machine, BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO MEASURE!! Ohnoeezzz!~
When you measure, I know you measure around the bust, etc. etc., but don't you have to add an extra few centimeters or something? I don't want it to be too tight or too loose... (Basically all I'm asking is how to measure. XD)
