What's the most suitable sewing machine to buy for my situation?
I would like to narrow the waist of skirts, sometimes take up sleeves of jackets, and also take up jeans, pants and skirts, and eventually make my own dresses and skirts. It is hard for me to buy clothing in Australia because of my Asian physique. I would be willing to pay up to about AUD$400, but hoping to get one for about $250 if possible. Can anyone recommend a suitable sewing machine or explain what to look for in a sewing machine?

They have basic sewing machines at affordable prices. They also have sewing classes and will trade in your machine when you are ready to trade up to a more advanced machine. Now is a really good time to be looking because they have sales in time for Mothers Day.
