Have booked a Princess cruise from Sydney and want to know if I could take knitting or sewing with me?
Well, I'm from Sydney Australia also and think you shouldn't have any problem if it is in with the rest of your luggage. Maybe if it's in your carry on bag and you have to go through security it may be a problem, but that could be at different ports of your destination country.
Many overseas countries allow you to take knitting on board their airplanes but they'd be confiscated at security checkpoints here if we tried to put them in our cabin luggage. I have to fly to the USA soon and it's such a long flight when you can't keep your hands busy. Maybe I'll get a plastic crochet hook and use that instead.
As a knitter, I totally understand why you would take your knitting along with you. You really can't party all the time and it's probably a lot cooler on the cruise than the weather we're having at the moment, and that's the only reason usually that stops me from knitting.
