Pishwas: High End Designers Pishwas
Pishwas is a dress worn by mugals (Royal families of indo-pak) in 17th century. It was usually worn by princesses or queens of indo-pak. Its also known by the name of Anarkali who was an average worker in Royal family and loved by Prince of that time. Anarkali was known to wear Pishwas. Anarkali is referred as Pishwas since that time.
Pishwas is a dress that is worn by Indian or Pakistan women. Other name for Pishwas is Anarkali. Pishwas comes in different styles and colors with heavy or light embroidery or embellished work on it. This dress is usually wore in large gathering like wedding ceremonies or parties.
Pishwas consist of top and bottom portion where bottom is much more heavy in embroidery or embellished work. Trouser with pishwas is called choridar or choridar pajama. Choridar pajama is a fitted long trouser that is not loose at all. This dress can not be made by any tailor. Special skills are needed to sew Pishwas and takes time and detail work. There are shops that deal with only pishwas and lehenga dresses in Pakistan or India. Price ranges from $200-$50,000 depending on who makes them and who wears them. Pishwas has a special place in fashion industry of India or Pakistan.
