Hiring a sewing machine in London?

Hi all,

I am going to a fancy dress party in a few weeks and want to make my own costume, as all the costumes available in shops either dont come in my size or look horrible.

I have bought the material and the patterns, but all I need now is a sewing machine.

This is very much a one off attempt at making something! So i dont want to have to fork out for a new machine that I will probably never use again.

Does anyone know anywhere in London that will let me hire a very basic domestic machine for a weekend?

I don't need anything fancy (i wouldn't be able to use it!) - something that can sew a basic stitch is all I need.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
