sewing slipper pattern
Please explain what a whip stitch is and how to do it. Used to sew knitted pieces together.?
I have finished knitting slippers. The pattern then instructs you to use a loose whip stitch. I am not familiar with that stitch and would like to know how to finish off the slippers using the whip stitch. These are to be felted after they are sewn together.
Whip stitch is a basic stitch. Place the two edges you wish to sew together and starting at one end place the needle over from the front to the back and push it through so that the thread lays across the top of the seam. Keep moving the needle forward a little with each stitch and dont pull the thread too tight.
