old sears Kenmore sewing machine smoking?
my dad has this sears Kenmore machine its smoking at the engine part in the back of it. what should i do to fix it? i really want to use it.sewing by hand takes so long! lol
You should take the machine in to be serviced. The motor may be smoking because it has a problem or it may be smoking because the machine hasn't been serviced and it takes too much power to drive the gummed up parts. You could ask your dad if he's ever had it adjusted and lubricated. If not, it's time. Running it with the motor smoking will only add damage to the motor.
