I have a Singer Sewing machine and the needle broke how do I take out the needle and change it to a new one?

I do not have a manule to look at and I have tried to find something on the web but no luck.....I just need to change the needle out and put a new one in so if anyone could help that would be great thanks!!

On my mothers Singer, as well as on most other sewing machines I have used, there is a screw with a big 'button' grip.

Watch which way your needle is in before you take it out.
Now you unscrew the screw, just a few twists should be enough, take out the needle, watching what you are doing. Now take your new needle, put it in the same way, make sure you put it up as far as the old one was.

Mostly the needles can only go in in one way, because they have a flat side at the top, so if you can not get your needle to fit, turn it and try again, till it just slips in.
The eye should be in the same position it always was.
Often the last thread guided is so that the thread is going straight down to the eye of the needle.

When your new needle is in, first make a full move with the hand wheel, now thread the needle and make a full turn again.
If the needle does not want to go down, move back and take it out, as it is not yet in the right position.
