Hi, I promised my boyf's elderly grandma that I would make her a cushion cover (eek!). We are going to see her this weekend so I need to get cracking on it this evening. She has previously sent me a sample of her sofa fabric (which is patterned so I will just use one colour fabric).
I just wanted to know if anyone had any great ideas for really beautiful cushion covers? Needs to be kind of simple too - although I have a machine and have made a tonne of cushions before, I really don't want to mess this one up!

Is this for a chair? I think even if you use a plain color, that a textured fabric would be good. Wears better and doesn't show the grime as badly. I'd do a large piping around the edges too.
