Youâ€™ve got the designs ready, but now you need to turn them into reality. Manufacturing clothing can be one of the most important steps for anyone who wants their own Clothing Line. These will be used as samples for potential clients, and you can even start selling the garments straight away.

If you are handy with a sewing machine then by all means produce the clothes yourself. This way they will be one-of-a-kind, completely unique to you. However, once your business expands you will probably need some help in this area in order to produce more garments to sell. Hiring a clothing manufacturer is not difficult. You will simply hand them your detailed designs and instructions, and they will create the products based on your guidance.

There are many clothing manufacturers based locally and overseas. How easy is it to replace/cover the lining of a jacket?

Hi. Just bought a nice jacket from Lands End but the lining is ugly (and shows when it is unzipped). Since the lining makes up part of the pockets, could I easily sew in a new lining on top or do I need to replace the lining? Thanks.

Replace, using the old lining as a pattern. If you know how to sew it's a really easy project.
