Does anyone know where in the Atlanta Georgia (USA) area I may rent a home sewing embroidery machine?
You might check the Yellow Pages under Rentals and see if there are any places that rent small appliances. Let your fingers do the walking -- call to see if they carry sewing machines.
Visit your local sewing stores -- the ones that sell the machines -- and see if they have any to rent. If they don't rent theirs, ask if they know who does. If they have no rentals, do they have a very reasonable lay-away or other payment plan that you might be interested in?
If that still draws a blank, ask if the sewing store gives classes. Sometimes you can "train" on one of their machines. The classes I've taken have us make a project together -- everyone makes the same style skirt, blouse, checkbook cover, quilt. Talk to the teacher. Maybe you can practice the techniques she's teaching on your project instead of hers.
