What type of sewing machine from Target, do you suggest I buy?
I having been wanting a sewing machine for quite some time...I am 23 and very much into crafting of all sorts. I plan to hopefully taking this up as a possibly serious hobby, yet I do not want to get anything overly expensive in case sewing just isn't for me. (Either way I know it will make my hairpiece and basic sewing projects I do much easier!)
The reason I have suggested Target is because I am getting married and we have a registry there.
I have not look in Target lately to see if they have sewing machines. But if they do It would be one of the following:
Brother
Singer
White.
Out of those three I would buy the Brother sewing machine. They tend to have more stitches.I know that Wal-mart sells them for around $150.00 to $399.99 so Target should be the same.My suggestion is this, you should go to a local fabric shop like Joann's or a quilt shop or sewing center. There you will be able try out the sewing machines. By trying them out you can see how it feels to sew on them. You also said that you want to be able to do craft projects so see if any of these machines have a few embroidery stitches. I also would suggest that you go online at the web site for these stores and see if the sewing machine is on sale. Never pay full price always wait for the sale price.
