Does anybody know where I can find a pattern to make a Christmas treet skirt?

I am 23 and trying to learn how to sew, my first project was a blanket for my daughter. That was pretty simple. My next project is a tree skirt, I was going to have my aunt help because she knew how to sew very well until she died very recently. Now I am stuck I do not have a pattern or anything. I do not know where to begin. I already have my fabric it is just a thin cotton fabric and I got a felt backing for it (the lady at wal-mart helped me) I just do not know how to cut it or how do make it. Please help.

Well, it's really just a big circle. You can make a pattern yourself with leftover newspaper. Think of it as a big pie cut into pieces. It all depends on the size of your Christmas tree, but it is so easy to make that you really don't even need a pattern.

Remember, a big circle, with pieces like a pie. Sew the top and bottom separate, then sew them together inside out. Leave a little hole to turn it outside-in and sew the little hole up and you're done!
