Where can I take sewing classes in Central London?

I would like to take sewing classes once a week in Central London. I am looking for a serious (and possibly affordable) course for TOTAL beginners. I hope you can help..

Your public library will have lists of local classes. Also, have a look out for Floodlight in Smith's - it's a list of adult education classes in London. I think it might be published seasonally (like summer for the following autumn's classes). John Lewis has certainly been known to do classes, but they weren't cheap, and also Liberty (similar).
