How to put pom-poms on top of a baby hat?
Does anyone know how to knit or sew on a pom-pom on top of a baby hat?? Because I've got some hats that I've made, and I've sold some of them online, and I'm getting pretty boring on how they look because they're just a bit too plain and I want to try putting pom-poms on them on the top to make them cutter and prettier and less boring.
If anyone knows how please tell me, or if you know any links that can help me, and videos, or anything, please share! thanks :D
You've gotten good directions to make the pom itself, but when you cut the strands around the form, take a long strand of yarn, folded in half, and use this to tie the center of the pom, then pull the ends through the loop to tighten it, and use the ends to sew to the top of the hat. Make sure you keep it tight enough to prevent a baby from pulling the strands out and putting them in the mouth, which can cause choking. Personally, I don't like poms or tassels on baby hats for that reason, but rather than end off, I tend to make 3 to 4 inches of 4 stitch I-cord and tie it in a knot as a decorative element.
