I need help loading the bobbin case in a singer model 758.?
I was given a Touch and Sew Zig Zag model 758 by my husbands grandmother. I removed the bobbin case to clean out lint from the machine and now I cannot seem to replace it. The machine needs other repairs I think. The needle does not line up with the hook?
If memory serves me right, you must be talking about a metal piece that is circular and once in position, you then drop the bobbin into it.
If so, sit in front of your machine like you're gonna sew. try holding the open bobbin lever in the right hand and Drop it into the other metal piece that it fits into with the lever in the lower left position (like where a 7 or 8 would be on a clock) Then slightly push it to the left side curve and gently turn it clockwise toward the top. It should catch and stop turning when the lever will be in the 9 position. There should be a little lockinng lever to ease over the piece once it is in position.
