How easy is Ikea?
I am looking to add curtains to my bedroom and the cheapest place is Ikea. But a lot of them are way to long. I was wondering (since I have heard how cheap and easy to eff stuff up there is) is it really as simple as they say?
They say with some of the curtains that you can just cut them with no sewing needed, but is that really true? I would prefer to know before I waste around 20 bucks.
The majority of the curtains do have the iron hemming strip included. I just do not know if I have the ability to do it.
You could just leave them long. The puddled look is in! Otherwise I don't think I would cut them. It would be very difficult to do this evenly. A couple of suggestions: You can hang the rod as high (close to the ceiling) as possible for a much grander look. You can also try an iron-on hem. It is just a tape that you can buy at a sewing store. Use the iron along with the tape and you'll have an instant hem without the sewing. You could also tie them back or put a tie around the center and puff them up which would make them shorter. Have fun with it!
