I found a part to my sewing machine and don't know what it is.?
I was given a sewing machine a few years ago. Along with the machine i got all of the stuff that my Aunt had collected over the years for sewing. Before I explain what i found I must tell you I am not that up on sewing terminology. I believe it is call the foot (the thing that pushes down onto the fabric to keep it still) well I found 3-4 plastic things that I know go with the foot but i am not sure what they do. My initial thought was that they were guards for the foot so when you sew you could only sew a 1/4" seam and no more. But there is one that is had a bend it it, also there is one that looks like it has holes in it so the needles will go through it.(maybe something for quilting?) I am not sure maybe you can give me some ideas to what they are. I know I probably didnt give enough info. Thank you
Some of those attachments & accessories may not have come with the machine and purchased separately.

A manual for the machine would identify those that came with the machine.
The one with the holes may be for feeding cording through. There may also be a quilting bar that goes through a hole the shaft of the foot and is held tight with a screw.
Take them to a sewing machine shop and see if they can help you identify what they are for.
If you want to learn to sew, get a good sewing book and use what is needed and don't worry about the rest.
