how would you sew this dress?
Hi,
I'm 14 and want some cute summer dresses for this summer. The thing is, some of them are just SO expensive so I'd like to try to make a couple. I'm not an expert at sewing but I can sew and I have my own machine. The pics below are dresses that I really like. If you could give instructions or a link to some or even a video tutorial on how to do a dress like that, I would LOVE that. It would also be appreciated if you know of a pattern that I can buy somewhere for a dress similar to one of the 2.

I can see how this might be hard to answer. So instead if you could just say what would be needed to sew one of these dresses. Like what kind of material would be best and would I need an elastic?

go to your nearest fabric/sewing store (in australia its spotlight, i don't know where you go in america) and look at the patterns they sell there. it has the pattern, instructions and sizing chart. just find a packet with dresses similar to these on the front, or you can print the pics and bring them to the store and ask if they have patterns for dresses like these. they are both relatively common styles and you will probably find patterns like them, if not, get something as close to it as possible or even something you like better and you can change it to suit you. i am quite sure you will find a pattern for the second one, it is more common.
