Product Lines
The Chez Ami product lines are fashionable and seasonal children's clothing. All designs and manufacturing are overseen by Patsy Aiken. With the exception on sweaters, tights and a few hair accessories, most of the products are manufactured in the U. S.
Chez Ami produces a seasonal catalog twice a year. All designs are prepared with bold, bright, primary and secondary colors, and they are manufactured using the highest quality knits and woven fabrics. In fact, remaining fabrics are sold by the yard through the Chez Ami website for those who wish to create their own designs at home.
Products include clothing designs for:
- Babies, Toddlers, and Children up to about 10 to 12 years
- Swimwear
- Nightwear
- Hair Accessories
- Holiday Designs
- Monogram options for specific designs
Distribution Structure
As Patsy and Joel began weaning away from upscale department retail stores, they decided to begin an independent sales network for distributing their products. People can sign up to become Sales Consultants and sell the Chez Ami products through prearranged home parties. Each Sales Consultant is given only selected selling periods, between Jan-April and July-October, directly by Chez Ami.
The Sales Consultants have a $100 seasonal commitment for the first season and $50 for each season thereafter. Sales Consultants are not required to hold inventory, but they do get additional other great benefits like:
- 40% discounts on Chez Ami merchandise
- Cash commissions for all sales
- First choice at end-of-season sales
- Bonuses for performance recognition
Sales Consultants are supported by Chez Ami by receiving extensive sales support and marketing materials, including seasonal catalogs, invitations, and order forms. Understanding the need to get off to a good start, Chez Ami offers a mentoring program for help and guidance in the Sales Consultant's first season. Commissions are paid to Sales Consultants not only on the sales at a home party but also as year-round orders placed directly by customers. In addition, other income and bonuses can be earned by recruiting additional sales reps to work alongside the Sales Consultant.

Moms, what are your favorite colors/styles in a dress for your little girl?
I'm asking this question again so I can get the widest range of answers possible. If you already answered it yesterday, I'm taking your's into consideration. Just would like to hear from more!
I sew and sell clothing on Ebay and would like to create custom-fit quality toddler dresses that fit a mom's style. I know that I can never find ones in the stores I like. Here is my current e-bay listing:

The buyer would be able to give measurements, along with picking a fabric with a sash, and whichever hem length they like.
Right now I only have a few fabric choices up because I'm trying to get an idea of what sorts of fabric styles people out there prefer. Is it cutsy girly? Contrasting? Bright primary colors? Certain types of patterns? Or something else?
I'll add more choices as I get an idea of what people like.
I like girly and not so plain designs....fabric with flip flops on in it, palm trees, watermelons, strawberries, cherries, etc. would make really cute summer dresses. I also like animals on my daughter and now, at 2 1/2 she's in love with cats and fish.
I, too, love her in red, dark green, purple, and orange. She loves orange and yellow.
I'd, too, find some cheaper fabric as I'd NEVER pay $55 for a dress, not even a formal dress. $10 for shipping is really high too.
