sewing a dress.. pattern help please.?
It's Butterick 5243. This is only my second pattern and my first one done on my own without help.
I do not understand that second block on the right?
This pattern has one fabric as well as interfacing.
It has a fold on the top and on the bottom.. with the selvage on the right hand side instead of on the top. Am I supposed to cut a piece off of the main fabric and fold it a specific way?
here is a bad picture of what I'm talking about. I hope I've added enough information for someone to help me. I really want to get started on this dress.

Yes. You need to cut out the pieces in the first block and then re-fold for cutting the pieces shown in the second block.
