Adjusting a men's dress shirt?
Is there some sort of template or something I could go by to help me adjust a men's shirt with my sewing machine? My boyfriend's shirt is too wide and we can't seem to find something to fit him; I'd like to be able to take in the sides a little but don't want to interfere with the rest of the stitching.
What you want to do is "dart" the back of the shirt to make it more trim fitting.
Also adjusting the sleeve length is a must as well.
Take it to a tailor, not sure darting is something that you want to try yourself.
