Please help, trying to sew a prom dress...fabric patterns?

Ok, on Butterick's site, I'm picking the B5182 pattern, and Dress "A"-the gold one. I'm a beginner in terms of sewing. I'm a size 1 in regards to dress/pant size. Can anyone help me try to understand that chart they have? With the 45'' and 60'' things? And oh, what is a "nap"? Any advice is great. Thanks! Prom is in 2 months btw
What's a "RTW"?
And the 3/8 yard sew-in thing...what part of the dress is that?

This - http://butterick.mccall.com/b5182-products-7765.php?page_id=152 is not a dress for a beginner to take on without live, on site help.

You cannot go by the size you wear in store bought clothing (RTW=Ready To Wear). You have to take your measurements and then use the pattern size. http://butterick.mccall.com//pages/how_to_choose_your_correct_size/458.php

Nap is how the fabric reflects light. One direction may be darker than the other and you would not one half of the dress looking as though it were a darker or lighter shade than the other.

Fabric comes in widths and this is marked on the cardboard center of a bolt of fabric.

Fabric is measured in yardage lengths.

3/8 of a yard thingy is probably the netting?????????
