Red Riding Hood Costumes Undecovered
Little Red Riding Hood is the main character in a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. She is a girl who got her name because of the red hooded cloak or cape that she wears when goes to her grandmother's house to bring her some food. The big bad wolf does not want to eat the girl in public so he asks her where she is going and she tells him that she is going to her sick grandmother's house. While Little Red Riding Hood is walking in the woods, the wolf goes to her grandmother's house and and eats her. He then disguises himself as the girl's grandmother and waits for her.
When Little Red Riding Hood arrives, she notices various things that seem strange about her "grandmother." When she comes to that part where she notices the wolf's big teeth, the wolf grabs her and swallows her. Luckily, a hunter arrives and cuts the wolf open so that Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother come out unharmed. In other versions of this fairy tale, the grandmother has not been eaten but has been locked in the closet and the hunter arrives just in time to save Little Red Riding Hood from being eaten. There are various interpretations of this fairy tale, and many of them are sexually related.
The two vital components of the Little Red Riding Hood costume are the red hooded cape and the picnic basket where she carries the food that she is bringing to her grandmother. This costume is very convenient for girls who plan to go trick or treating during Halloween but adults who want to wear something sexy can also use it. This is because they could wear a short skirt with the red hooded cape. It is easy to sew the red hooded cape but you can also buy it from a store. Complete outfits can also be ordered from online stores, just in time for Halloween.
The Little Red Riding Hood costume is relatively cheap because all you need are the picnic basket and the hooded cape. You can wear any outfit under the hood although it is not advisable to wear a red-colored dress to ensure that the red cape stands out. A pair of red shoes can go well with the outfit. Male escorts for Little Red Riding Hood can use the Big Bad Wolf costume while female escorts can dress up like the grandmother.

How do I prevent top layer of fabric from "shifting" and being pushed forward/puckering while sewing?
I'm sewing a satin lining into a velvet cape - and it seems that no matter how well I pin, the top layer (this happens regardless of whether the satin or velvet is on top) seems to bunch up and be pushed forward, while the bottom layer progresses normally. I'm obviously a very new sewer, and I'm assuming this is a stupid "newb" mistake. I have to keep "folding over" bits of the top layer and sewing straight across the fold to keep the fabric even - and needless to say this looks HORRIBLE at the end.

First, try reversing the fabrics. If you have satin on top and velvet on bottom, swirch them and see if that solves the problem.
If not, there are two possible adjustments you need to make. One is in the "dog teeth" or the teeth under the fabric that help feed the fabric through as you sew. The other is the "presser foot", which is the piece you lower by a lever that holds the fabric down as you sew. Adjust them one at a time and test on a sample.
If it is the varied textures of the fabric that is causing the problem, you may have to "fuse" the fabrics with a temporary fusing product befor you can sew them together. This product is available in sewing supply stores. I
f you prefer not to fuse the fabrics, you can hand baste the fabrics before sewing.
