Lighting as a Factor in Interior Design

Lighting of the house is the symbol of wealth and this belief has been followed in many parts of the world. People know the importance of lighting and they want something new to decorate their house with. Different collection of lamps can be used to give a different look and feel to the room for the guests who visit the house. The role of lighting has made a new trend in the field of interior design. And many innovative things are being made in the field as well.

People those who run resorts ,hotels and drive ins mainly concentrate on decorating them with various lightings, because customers generally get attracted to the lightings.

There are many kinds of lighting which decorates the rooms. A new type of lighting called Ambient fills the room with glow by showering few shadows. This Ambient lighting is manufactured in the combination of Japanese paper lanterns and wall sconces.
Another popular kind of lighting called Accent highlights the architectural feature.Only a bulb and a shield are needed to focus it according to the taste of the people. Nowadays Task lighting is the method commonly used in interior design and many people go for this option because of its practical strategy. And also this type of lamps safe guards the eyes from any infections or eye problems. It is very simple; people that use task lighting need not strain their eyes to do their daily activities like cooking reading, sewing etc. This is the best choice for decorating the place like kitchen.

Aesthetic lighting is made out of art which is decorated on neon sculpture and painting. And this type of lighting doesn’t look that great when used by itself and usually works when used with a combination of other strategic lightings.

Natural light is the source for all these kinds of lighting and it could be decorated with the help of natural light which is the Sun. This is also known as kinetic lighting. For this type of decoration, the rooms must be arranged in such a way that there is sun light in various dimensions at different times of a day. Although using this kind of lighting has some demerits. The effect of the light may get changed according to the seasons, weather and climate.

There are some more called the Solar Restroom lighting, Bus shelter lighting, mine lighting etc. These methods of lighting are applied with the help of Led lighting. It’s very easy to find different lightings that match the décor of your room and also the cheapest way to make your house or your office look beautiful.

What is the name of this fantasy children's book?

I've been looking for a book I had as a child for years, but don't remember enough information to help in finding it.
It was a thin, semi-large sized book with mostly pictures and a small amount of writing.
It was about a girl finding a maze-like castle/house in the middle of a forest I believe and having to go through halls and strange fantasy rooms to eventually find a wizard and take over as owner of the house (I believe).
I distinctly remember black and white checkered halls, a room where the scissors and sewing machines and objects had eyes and were alive and attacking her, and the same human-like features in all scenes depicted in objects in the book.

The artwork was beautiful and i'd really love to be able to find it again.
