What is the best way to finish the cording with lip on the bolster pillow I am trying to make?

I just want it to look professional and learn a trick or two as to how to sew the cord together without having to put tape on the ends. Is there fabric glue I can use? The pillow I am making is a bolster "neckroll" pillow and usually the cording would get overlapped on a square or recktangle pillow, but that isn't working for this round edge of the bolster. Please help :)

You could splice the ends of the cording - unravel each end, remove half the separate strands from each end for the same distance on each end, carefully re-roll them together, and a TOUCH of glue will hold them while you finish off. Absolutely invisible!
Of course, you have to be pretty accurate with getting the spliced cord to lie flat (i.e. how much cord you need at this point etc.), but you sound as if you could cope with that.
If you only have an odd number of strands in the cording, remove an odd number from one end and an even number from the other - even one and two will be OK)
