Is my horse show outfit fashionable for a 2010 horse show im going to?
I cant match my outfit with my horses attire because i use my instructors horse. She doesnt tell me the color of the tack. My shirt is a button down. The base color is pink with two pockets in front.It has brown streaks in it with some glitter sewn in. Im wearing a black hat with a gold belt thing in the middle with black in it. I will be wearing black jeans with a brown belt with crosses in them. I wont be wearing any make up and my hair will be in a french braid. I will be doing halter, driving, and western pleasure, Thanks for your help!
Well, without seeing the shirt (i.e. pics), it's hard to say whether it's in fashion or not. I can tell you that natural colors (browns, golds, oranges) are in high fashion right now (think 70s looks ;-), and glitter is making a comeback. I would ask your instructor what she thinks :-)
Also, as a suggestion - if you're going to french braid your hair, make sure it's tucked up and off your neck (i.e. make a ball at the base of your head). If your hair is hanging down on your shirt, the judges don't tend to like that much. Make sure to use lots of bobby pins and hairspray to keep the flyaways to a minimum. Also, wear makeup, but don't overdo it. Just some foundation, a light lipstick, and mascara is plenty, but it helps to polish your look (the judge doesn't want you to look like you just got out of bed).
