Four pieces of fabric

Tailor's chalk
5cm cotton tape
Scissor
Ruler
Iron on hemming tape

Creating bunting of flags

For a quick process you can use the pinking shears to put the flags into shapes and skip the sewing stage
The fabric is to be cut into 50cm strips, it should be folded again from the right side and then you need to press
Use the chalk and the ruler for making 20cm interval along the top and then on the bottom of the edge, you can make the first 10 cm mark and then continue marking one every 20cm.
Draw lines between the upper and the lower and then make a zig-zag pattern that runs through the length of the strip
All lines should be cut and then the pieces should be folded
Match the triangles in pairs and stitch them on sewing machine
Hang the finished bunting on the ornaments

Sewing a backpack back together? Only the bottom is ripping...?

Right... i got this backpack, had a swiss flag on it and everything. It's an amazing backpack and all but the bottom is ripping out of it because i (might) have thrown it at some people and i (might) have put too much weight in the bottom...

The important thing is that my mom said it wouldn't last me a school year and i have to prove her wrong! Please, someone just tell me the best way to sew the corner of the bag up... Its a crossed fabric that looks like it frays kinda fast. I just have no idea how to sew anything and never have. help?

Have you thought about taking it to a professional seamstress? From what you said you can't sew. If you attempt to sew it yourself, you'll have to reinforce the seam since it unravels so easy. any scrap piece of fabric (preferably one that does not unravel) or double fold bias tape would work really well, to the inside of the bag to cover the seam. the less stitching the better, the fold of the scrap will be away from the seam. This my get you through the year. If you take it to a seamstress(or anyone that knows how to sew.) I wouldn't pay more than $3 to $5. for the repair, depending on where you are located. If you were close to me I would fix it for you. I could even make you a new one and put your flag on it.
