Beginner sewing machine?
I need help! I am a beginner sewer! I have been comparing these 2 machines: Kenmore 15358 and Brother XL2600I. I don't know which would be better for me. I design clothes, and I have been able to get away with it without using a sewing machine for the last year, but now Im ready to take the next step and use a sewing machine! The Kenmore isn't electronic and the Brother is...what's your opinion?

Both of these models have pros and cons.
As a beginner, I suggest you visit as many sewing machine dealers as you can.
Tell them what you want to be able to sew with the machine and they will help you choose a model that is right for you.
They will show you how to use the machine and let you test run it.
Dealers have lessons and classes.
If you have questions or need help with the machine, the dealer will be able to help you - not so when you buy from a big box store.
Try as many different brands and models as you can and then buy the machine you like best from the dealer you like best.
You will be glad you did.
