I need to buy a walking foot for my sewing 1970's Kenmore sewing machine?

I own a Kenmore sewing machine from the 1970's. It's a great metal sewing machine! I've sewed many things with my machine. I need a walking foot for my sewing machine. I saw one on overstock but I'm not too sure if it would be compatible with my 1970's sewing machine. Here is the link:

I also have a 70s-era 'heavy metal' Kenmore. I bought a generic/universal screw-on walking foot online from Nancy's Notions (she's the PBS 'Sewing with Nancy' lady) for around $20 plus shipping then (it's $25 now). There's a diagram on the website that shows you how to tell which style you need - it's basically a choice between 'hi shank', 'low shank', and 'slant shank'.
Your link to Overstock didn't work but I searched there for walking foot. I only found one, and it says it's a snap-on foot, and our Kenmores only took screw-on feet, but it may also work as a screw-on, and you may also be able to find an after-market adapter that will allow the machine to accept snap-on feet (I bought one several years back, also at Nancy's Notions, but I don't know if they still carry them).
I've used my walking foot for about 10 years now (also for quilting), and both the machine and foot are fine, so I think the Nancy' one will also work for you. They have some other cool feet, too - look at the 'big foot' for free-motion quilting. Clotilde is another good source for sewing machine accessories, but they carry mostly snap-on.
