Fancy Dress Outfits For Great Themed Gatherings
Fancy dress outfits are usually chosen with a specific theme in mind, so the next time you are planning any kind of social gathering, why not pep it up with a fun theme. This is great for children and adults alike and do not think that only children's parties are for dressing up and having fun.
The first decision to make is, of course, to select the theme. This will depend upon the occasion, be it a birthday, a Christmas party, a Halloween ball, a pool party or other occasion. The themes can be unlimited and can focus on your favorite cartoon characters, movies, colors, elements, music bands and so on.
Once you have the job of deciding on your theme out of the way it is time to start the fun process of deciding on a costume. The options available are as limitless as the themes, but initially you will narrow it down to a few favorites before deciding on one particular idea.
If you have sewing skills or know a friend who does, then you could possibly make your outfit or have it made for you. Alternatively you can hire a costume from a costume hire shop in the area. A home made outfit can be a fun challenge and you are guaranteed to have a one of a kind design.
Making an outfit is fun and inexpensive and what is more is that it can be specifically tailored to suit your figure perfectly. It will also be an original outfit that you can make with your preferred fabrics and colors, adding your own personal touches.
A store bought or hired costume will have more general sizing. It is also handy to hire it for an evening and then to return it because you will not have another item of clothing in your cupboard that you perhaps only wear once. A hired costume will require a money back deposit and will have to be returned by a certain hour on the following day.
Hired outfits are a better bet if you are going to choose a more complex theme or character to dress up as. A simple color theme, say red and white or a blue party is an easy bet for most people as you will likely have clothing that you can wear or modify for the event.
If you want to be a realistic pirate, or a truly inspiring fairy, then perhaps a store hired costume is a better option, but in the end it really is up to you just how complex or simple you wish to make your costume. The whole idea is to have fun, not for it to be an unpleasant chore.
In making your decision, be sure to pick something that you can spend an entire day or evening in without feeling too uncomfortable. Choosing a masked costume, like a bear suit, for example, might look wonderful but in really intense summer heat it is likely to be very uncomfortable to wear for an entire day.

I need help coming up with an art project idea?
Im in an art class and we have to do projects that go with our theme. my theme is food. do you have any ideas on what a good project would be?
Previous projects:
Painted an old coke bottle to look like a monster energy drink.
Bucket of popcorn ( popcorn made out of sewn fabric).
Drawing of a chinese take out box.
Also it needs to be something that includes internationalism.
Also its for a high school art class
You could take something that shows up in different forms in various cultures, like pasta, or cheese, or cookies, or wedding cakes.
There are a ton of noodles from Asia which are different from the Italian ones, Germany has spaetzle, etc. Certain cheeses are associated with different countries too, like queso fresco with Mexico, Parmesan with Italy, Feta with Greece, lots with France and America.
Or like how similar foods show up in very different cultures. Egg/spring rolls from Asian countries, burritos from Mexico, calzone from Italy, Cornish pasties from England, etc.
You could represent them any way you wanted really, from sculpting, to painting, to photography.
